FOOD AS MEDICINE

What is your relationship with food?  Do you love spending time planning and preparing beautiful meals for yourself, friends, and family?  Or do you believe the microwave is the way to go? Do you eat because you want to fuel the body with fresh, pure foods? Or do you eat because, well, you must in order to live?

Each of us has our own unique mealtime story and mine has changed many times through the years, however, there is one constant.  I always return wanting pure, fresh organic nourishing foods, packed with nutrition that are produced with a sustainable Earth conscious footprint. 

What about addictions, cravings and negative food habits? We may ask ourselves ‘how did I get to this dysfunctional place’? Our patterns may have developed out of an emotional need to feel safe, happy, full, or loved, so we looked to food to fulfill those empty feelings. Most of the time it takes us being in a place of pain and uncomfortability in order to make positive changes for ourselves and when we reach that point, we can use those destructive energies as motivating forces to begin a new way of living.

We can start by replacing toxic foods with medicine foods which help balance the taste buds and relieve the cravings and addictions.
